One of the Edmonton Journal’s ‘Ten to Do’
String thing
Edmonton’s own Enterprise Quartet (guillaume.tardif.com/enterprise/home.html) brings the beauty of string music to anyone who’s interested in listening with its free public concerts. Its fall series begins Sunday at the Robertson-Wesley United Church, and continues with a pair of mid-week performances at City Hall. The quartet is about as good as it gets: the musicians are a combination of University of Alberta faculty and members of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
This season, the group’s focus is set on Mozart’s 1733 quartets and Beethoven’s late quartets.
When: Sunday, Sept. 9, 2 p.m.; Tuesday, Sept. 11, noon and 7:30 p.m.
Where: Sunday, Robertson-Wesley United Church, 10209 123rd St.; Tuesday, City Hall.
Admission: Free.
